Our Mission

Ferals In Peril is a 501 [c] [3] not-for- profit organization. We are located in Brooklyn and primarily serve the Bensonhurst, Bath Beach, Dyker Heights and Bay Ridge communities. The primary objective of Ferals In Peril is to provide free spay/neuter clinics for un-owned and feral cats in order:

to greatly reduce the number of these cats and mitigate their suffering from starvation and disease,

to create an economically feasible way for communities to humanely reduce the population of stray cats, thus easing neighborhood tensions and fostering compassion, and

to relieve local animal control facilities of the financial and psychological burden of euthanizing healthy but homeless cats.

We are not a shelter and we are not able to take in cats or kittens.

Our free spay/neuter clinic can be reached at (347) 816-2899

Ferals in Peril is looking for volunteers

We need reliable and responsible cat lovers for some hands-on help in our sanctuary. This would require two hours per week.

We are also looking for foster homes and help socializing kittens.

Last but not least, we need help with grant writing. If you have any experience in this area, we need your expertise.

Read a letter to Ferals in Peril from Governor Andrew Cuomo

I looked at all of the strays in the streets, yards, and alleyways, and saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal, and I was angry.

"God," I said, "This is terrible! Why don't you do something?"

God was silent for a moment, and then spoke softly. "I have done something - I created you."
